As a fellow, I worked on a project examining the effects of Astrocytic CB1-Receptor gene knockouts (optogenetic and chemogenetic) on fear learning and fear extinction in mice. I routinely performed a variety of behavioral tests, immunohistological assays, and microscopic analyses to elucidate the mechanisms underlying the known linkage between endocannabinoid action and anxiety/stress in mammalian models.
