Responsibilities included testing data link operations (Link 16, Link 11, Link4A) in the development of new baselines of the AEGIS combat system and the operation of data link simulation equipment (MULTOTS/MLST3). These duties required an understanding of the various interfaces involved, understanding of the message standards, and the ability to determine the most efficient way to verify whether the program complies or deviates from specification, and the ability to isolate the source of a data link problem. Used data link simulators to support single element development testing, multiple element integration testing, Air control testing, engineering test and evaluation, link certification, baseline demonstrations etc. Used monitoring equipment during live (radio) operations to assist the engineering staff in isolating and identifying problem areas. -
