Working in Telstra full time since April 2012 after accepting a position of Senior Project Manager, previously working in Telstra from May 2007 - April 2012 under a Professional Services contract with UXC Professional Services in the same position.Recent secondments from the IT E&IS PMO team on request from MDC. Working in the Managed Data Centre space with the current MDC team for project management in the existing Capital Works lifecycle program. Projects replacing aging primary Chillers, primary & secondary pumps, chilled water piping to building 1, relocating switchboards & replacement of 24 CRAC units in the NSW MDC. Also to Business Itelligence &Analytics project management & Telstra Transition projects.Previously based in IT Infrastructure & Services for 2 1/2 years delivering Hosted customer projects in Telstra MDC's (IBM / Telstra Managed) & the IDC's (Telstra managed) across all states. Major accomplishments - 15 installation projects of pre-provisioned SUN B6000 "POD" installations for customer blade sales (early Cloud computing offering) in NSW & VIC IDC's and the Cloud Proximity Computing Infrastructure projects in SA & WA for current Customer Cloud sales - using multiple Cisco UCS server chassis's, Cisco switches, HDS storage, EMC VNX storage & EMC Avamar backup grids.Earlier projects - 3 1/2 years in Infrastructure Delivery & Data Centre refurbishments for the Transformation project, EMC, NetApp & Hitachi storage projects - Cisco switch inplementations - bulk server preprovisioning in the IBM UMI space - E25K consolidation project - Tplus firewall POP installation at Clayton MDC - Account-01 server augmentations Telstra's concurrent projects managed range between several thousand dollars up to $5 million plus each. Consistently working on multiple concurrent projects interfacing with multiple vendors and stakeholders delivering SUN, Oracle, IBM, HP, EMC, NetApp, CISCO, Hitachi, Brocade hardware and ESX VM's - Cloud computing projects.

Telstra

Senior consultant initially contracted to Telstra as a Senior PM during the Transformation project.During Transformation - Worked in a team of professionals to successfully deliver large projects for data centre setup and Infrastructure delivery which included working with Network architects and designers, vendors on behalf of Telstra, data centre planning and delivery, attending Governance meetings & presenting projects / budgets.Installation of Cloud infrastructure in four states including 4 greenfields sites interstate.Worked with Colocation & Hosted customer teams for delivery of varied projects including Federal Government (DOHA) for the PCEHR site setup & infrastructure delivery.Internal mentoring of three of the UXC graduate intake and requested in Telstra to mentor several graduates on rotation.Successful knowledge transfer to new staff & departments as SME for many projects on moving to differnet areas within Telstra. Received 6 internal GM recognition awards for projects during the time with Telstra.

Cognos & Siebel support, IT Project Management

As IT manager, responsible for managing internal IT support staff, contracted services companies and availability for 8 sites. Direct responsibility for all Colocated data centre nfrastructure & services, 8 Server rooms, Infrastructure management / lifecycle rollover (ILM) / new technologies and existing capacity augmentations, internal Network management / availablility / security, Vendor management for support contracts / licensing / tenders / harware & application purchases, WAN & Telephony requirments and tenders (Land / Mobile / Blackberry), Manage mergers and acquisition transistion of 8 companies into the core parent company network & WAN over a period of 4 years (company experienced 1000% growth over that period), Disaster Recovery planning (DRP).

As State Manager created a new branch for STEEL Technology in Victoria, Australia and provide management support & issue resolution to the NSW branch. STEEL Technology provided high level Project Management & Consulting Services to IBM Midrange server customers as well as specific Software support & development for JBA / GEAC "System/21" ERP products.
