Profile bio

About Mark Zankel

I've been fortunate to spend my career in conservation and sustainability. After 28 wonderful years at the global nonprofit conservation organization The Nature Conservancy, I joined ReVision Energy in 2023 as the Director of Community Solar Farms. At ReVision, I work with a talented team to develop to develop a distributed network of well-sited, 0.5MW-5.0MW solar arrays that will bring cost-savings, local, renewable solar energy to thousands of individuals and businesses who are not able to install solar on their homes/buildings/properties. We are a local (Maine/New Hampshire/Massachusetts), employee-owned, certified B-Corp on a mission to make life better by building our just and equitable electric future. At The Nature Conservancy, I played leadership roles in landmark conservation initiatives including the effort to conserve 171,000 acres of forestland in the Connecticut Lakes Headwaters; development of widely used landscape conservation plans for the Ashuelot River and Coastal NH watersheds; launch of a multi-state collaborative to protect wildlife connectivity across the Northern Appalachians; and restoration of thousands of acres in NH’s globally imperiled pine barrens ecosystem. Under my leadership, TNC in New Hampshire successfully completed a $45 million Future of Nature capital campaign, the largest conservation fundraising campaign in New Hampshire history. I value integrity, innovation, strategic risk-taking, compassion, embracing paradox, humility, fun and humor. For fun, I love to be outdoors (hike, bike, ski, etc), see live music, explore ethnic foods, and make maple syrup.

Listed skills include Fundraising, Strategic Planning, Nonprofits, Conservation Issues, and 25 others.
