Allica Bank is a commercial bank and one of the UK’s fastest growing companies. I joined in an interim role, leading Data Analytics for a core ledger migration from FMS to Mambu. This was a hands-on leadership role using SQL Server, Azure Data Factory and Metabase.Key achievements: - Lending ledger migration: Collated requirements from all teams including accounts, arrears and collections, finance and regulatory reporting. Defined analytics and engineering tasks, led reconciliation, stakeholder sign-off and switch-over. - Cross business: Created new cross-business analytics data model, aggregating disparate sources across the bank including lending and overdrafts, providing a total view by customer for exposure management, regulatory reporting and automated approval decisioning. - Analytics data modelling: Established new analytics engineering models for Lending and Cross-Business, rationalising report logic to improve performance, maintainability and quality. - Data management: Established data governance. Created data catalogue for Lending, agreeing field definitions with stakeholders. ICAP Equities was a new brokerage that grew to 150 employees and $50mn revenues in 2 years.Leading Product and Technology, I built a team of 20 and rapidly delivery several major projects across research, sales and trading.Key projects include: - Portfolio Trading - Full portfolio trading product suite including Pre-Trade Analytics portal for clients and traders to manage market risk and impact through analysis, hedging, segmentation and strategy selection; Trader Workbench based on Fidessa BEAM and OMAR client APIs with Bloomberg market data; Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) with streaming data warehouse, using Fidessa Reliable Data Stream API. - Apollo Quant Analytics – Risk/return valuation engine and data analytics portal for fund managers, highlighting relative performance and trends over time. The calculation engine uses third party price, fundamental & consensus market data from Bloomberg and FactSet.

Execution was a UK stockbroker, later acquired by Banco Espirito Santo.I led a digital transformation programme and built a delivery team that combined onsite, offshore and third-party resource to rapidly deliver on three major programmes: • Research - Developed a new content authoring and distribution platform. • Sales - Introduced Microsoft Dynamics CRM for account management. • Sales trading - Developed a workbench with recommended content and interest matching.The resultant technology platform was subsequently acquired by ICAP.
