At Bellarmine Preparatory School, my role as Director of Technology and Security has been marked by the successful migration of decades’ worth of data to the Google cloud and the transition to Microsoft Azure for robust identity management. In collaboration with our team, we've serviced a dynamic educational environment, addressing over 860 support requests annually within a stringent 48-hour turnaround.I leveraged Bellarmine's strategic vision to effectively adopt a new ERP system across multiple departments, enhancing academic management and operations. Using my background as an educator, I pursued excellence through hands-on development and delivery of professional training, ensuring staff proficiency and fostering an advanced educational technology ecosystem.Accomplishments • Implemented Microsoft Azure/Entra Identity Management: Streamlined identity management, multi-factor authentication, endpoint security, and software provisioning across 12 academic and 5 business departments. • Restructured ITIL Support Desk: Led a lean team of two network administrators to resolve 500 tickets and over 360 informal support requests annually within a 48-hour SLA. • Formulated a Five-Year Security Plan: Developed strategic plans for physical security improvements and zero-trust networking in cybersecurity. • Conducted Security Audit and Mitigated Vulnerabilities: Contracted an audit and addressed 54 vulnerabilities to improve campus operational control. • Upgraded Network Infrastructure: Enhanced network capabilities to support 10 Gbps connections over fiber between nine buildings. • Managed $3.5 Million Building Remodel: Served as owner representative, improving usability, energy efficiency, security, and campus aesthetics. • Led Remote and Hybrid Instruction Technology During Pandemic: Facilitated successful remote learning solutions and staff support during COVID-19. • Administered 1-to-1 iPad Program: Managed over 1,000 iPads with centralized software provisioning and lost device tracking. • Maintained High Network Uptime: Engineered and sustained network infrastructure with 99.5% uptime. • Executed Multiple Technology Projects Using PMBOK Principles: Ensured projects stayed within scope, on time, and within budget. • Expanded Surveillance Systems: Grew from a 3-camera to a 30-camera system, securing the perimeter of nine buildings on a 40-acre campus.
