I inherited a number of these after the original projects implemented them and was responsible for the stabilisation and scalability of each, bringing them through the peak Christmas trading periods and ensuring service was maintained. This was a very high visibility project across the operation and was aimed to deliver the ability for an IT system to help plan a delivery route, removing the need for a driver to know the territory they were delivering in incredibly well. Many of these components were owned by third parties and so this role involved a great deal of liasing outside of my own team to ensure that the investigations were directed in the correct places.I got involved with this project as it was entering the rollout phase and was responsible for the resolution of several thousand defects of various sizes and scale. I joined AppLabs as a graduate test analyst. While in this role I went to several sites from leading investment banks to large parcel delivery firms. I was trained using ISEB methods, although AppLabs had created their own version of this. During this time I earned my ISEB qualification and earned a SQL Developer qualification.
