About Mark Cusick
I have more than 35 years of experience as an international M&A lawyer and 20 years of management experience both in the global expansion of an international law firm and in the development of a European cable telephony company. My legal practice focused on cross-border acquisitions; complex, multi-level joint ventures; privatizations; private equity and the communications and specialty chemicals industries. I became the Coordinator of the International Practice of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey in 1989 and opened the Firm’s London Office in 1992. Under my leadership, the European practice grew from five lawyers in one office (Brussels) to more than 180 lawyers in nine offices. On secondment from Squire Sanders, I was for three years also part of the London-based senior management team of a large European CATV development company. Since retiring from Squire Sanders and moving back to the US in 2008, I have worked with entrepreneurs in founding start-ups, provided business consulting, participated in angel investments and served as counsel for select M&A clients.
