    I had the honor of working with some amazing people at the City of Greeley, a city that lives its motto - Achieving Community Excellence. The primary themes of my tenure were to transform the IT organization into a customer service driven culture, to establish program and project management best practices, and to create a strategic Cybersecurity program. To do these things, we1) Reorganized our department to focus on better serving our internal customers and community, implementing ITIL as an operating framework. 2) Trained the management staff on PMI principles and stood up a governing body to help prioritize and budget for disparate departmental needs.3) Evolved Cybersecurity from an IT playbook into a strategic program supported by the Executive team. 4) Hired an outstanding CISO who established a security governance framework based on NIST risk management principles, working closely with the executive team to build common purpose and support.4) Tied all of these programs together by leveraging Atlasssian tools including Jira and Confluence as an operating platform, enabling us to more effectively coordinate work between IT divisions and to become data-driven in our decision making and management.But for the pull of entrepreneurial aspirations, I would have continued to enjoy serving this excellent community.
