After missing two delivery dates, they had more projects with critical time-sensitive deliveries that their vendor said they would be late. With international connections Me2 delivered 14-time-critical projects from around the globe on-time, at site with 100% conformance to order. This led Me2 to becoming a premier supplier to Fortune companies around the globe. They would bring us a product, we'd tweak it, prototype it and arrange on-time delivery. Being successful at this allowed Me2 to work with many large and public visible events for brand building and fund raising.Because of the success of Me2 design sourcing for the majors we became known for "who to call" when and before problems occurred. One of which was a major pillow producer that freight quadrupled overnight due to dimensional volume changes with their logistics provider. Founder/CeoMe2 Company 2001 - 2003Myrtle Beach , Sc , UsI founded Me2 Ideas for Promotion to facilitate selling ideas. My love was inventing things. After ESFI I worked on selling my ideas. From napkin sketches, selling the idea, obtaining venture capital, and starting up companies. Because patents were expensive and time consuming I began to research how to bring a product to market with protection without spending a lot in advance. This led me to filing my own patents and getting traction before investing tons of money. I assisted many people with bringing to market their ideas (behind the scenes) from inception, prototyping, marketing, sourcing, distribution, logistics, and venture capital being responsible for profit and loss and appeared in various public speaking and television venues. It was a great idea. I had many people calling me wanting my help. The problem was I couldn't help everyone and I love helping people. This is when I wrote my book "The Complete Guide to Inexpensive Ideaing". At that time "Ideaing" wasn't a word and this is why I incepted it, so all references would point to the proper place. The book wasn't written to be a top seller and top seller it wasn't. It was a tool for me to flush out those that were really serious about their idea because if they took initiative to read my book (that I would hand them for free) they wouldn't need my help.I incepted, patented and marketed many products obtaining funding when necessary working hand and glove with investors. To give you an idea of difficulty of chasing a buyer, one of my products is a temperature sensing lid. The lid would be red in color until it dropped below 130 degrees. Once the liquid is below 130 degrees it is safe to drink according to the CDC. It was a perfect fit, the Fortune company agreed. But 2 years in proved differently just due to the insane 1mm a day in volume.Another product I co-invented for the medical industry is still in use today and selling millions of units. -

Founder / CeoEnviro Systems Furniture Incorporated Feb 1989 - Mar 2002I incepted this company from my basement with $1,000.00 capital and grew it to $14MM selling it before the market turn. When I was starting the company, customers wanted a lower priced product and what fit the bill then was refurbished. Needing something to fit this need I studied refurbished furniture and found it not to be as environmentally sound as was thought. I then researched all office furniture systems in search of a second tier product that would fit the niche. What I found was a tremendous void of quality between the primary name brand products and the b grade (secondary) products but the price difference was only 5% to 8% lower (hard to justify for clientele to buy an inferior product to save 8%). I figured there needed to be a middle ground between refurbished and this is why, and how this company started. And this is why I became a CEO (I needed someone to run the company).Over the years I grew the company from a start-up in my basement to state of the art manufacturing facilities of 85,000 square feet in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Our manufacturing had the first Japanese flex machines, German steel folding machines, and Canadian sheers and brakes. Our flexibility and utilization of the best in technology at that time allowed us to go from CAD right to production without secondary programing.I incepted teams both in house and in the field. Our field sales teams were headed up by 4 regional managers that over saw 30 sales representatives. All of which were commissioned based. We grew to establish showrooms in Manhattan, Dallas, NY, California, Phoenix, and Chicago, Il where we won the prestigious ASID/IFMA/IBD design awards against multi-billion dollar players. Our distribution became international and as far as Tver, Russia and we built alliances with the largest supplier of office furniture in Switzerland. I appeared in various television, radio and public speaking engagements to promote the company.

It was a valuable lesson for me working with the head of the electrical union for NY to come up with a mutual beneficial plan. -

Reviewed in the top 9% of employees. I also was certified to drive Steelcase trucks and was back up shuttle driver. I earned an accommodation for taking a call later afternoon from the Denver Regional Office Manager. Somehow the order for the next day's event didn't get ordered. I stayed late by myself, loaded the pallets on a truck, drove them to Burlington Express and hot shipped them to arrive the next morning. It was a risk as it cost a lot of money and I was the only one to make the call. But the risk won me an accommodation from the Director and the Regional Office VP who said it would have been a disaster had I not done what I did. -

Promoted to administrative services and was asked to drive (then CEO Founder) Fred Meijer (sometimes with Hank who was writing a book) to various destinations. Fred was so awesome and I learned so much from him with our long drives. I think this is what taught me to listen intently). He would always give me a purple cow token and ask me to scout out the store while he was in meetings. He’d always ask me what I’d seen, were people nice (we’d sneak in) and was anything out of order). One time when he asked me what I would change I mentioned some windows that were milky looking at the Kalamazoo and 28th location. The next week they were all replaced. Was such a great experience.
