Why?I never received any formal careers advice during full time education and didn't make well informed decisions as a result. It wasn't unitil I finished university that I came across a Careers Adviser whilst I volunteered in a hostel for young homeless people and saw the benefit of the work he did with them. This sparked my interest and from that moment I decided that I wanted to help individuals to make exciting and relevant career decisions. I eventually went through my own major career change at the age of 30, switching from a career in environmental health to career guidance. As a Career Coach my mission is to help motivated individuals to understand their unique blend of strengths, qualities and characteristics which they can use as a foundation to find and be in control of a purpose driven career in an ever changing world. This will serve as a platform for them to truly express who they are.Who do I work with?1-1 Adult Career Coaching -Bespoke career coaching programmes for professionals and graduates https://www.kickstartcareers.co.uk/coaching/adult-coachingManagers and Employees of large organisations - Facilitation in the running of career development webinars with The Career Innovation Companyhttps://www.careerinnovation.com/Young People - Career guidance with young people in a range of independent, state and SEN schools and colleges to help them make well informed and exciting decisions as they start their career. https://www.kickstartcareers.co.uk/coaching/youth-coachingThe variety of my work means that I can often feedback career insights from the adults clients to the young people I engage with. How?My approach is relaxed, holistic, non judgemental and empathetic, using a range of visual and kinaesthetic tools, meaning that clients don't have to look at me for long periods of time!Achievements:- 'Youth Coach of the Year 2015' - awarded by The Coaching Academy, the largest Life Coach training organisation in Europe - Highly Commended by RMA for 'Outstanding Contribution to Apprenticeships' 2018 (that's posh for second place!)- In 2013 I ran a series of career related workshops at an international youth leaders conference in Serbia Membership1.
