About Mark Zimmerman

After graduate school, I began selling specialty chemicals to various industries, and over the years I have successfully managed several multi-million dollar, multi-state territories. When I bought my first business, I figured out very quickly that I had the right skill set to manage and grow businesses. Those skills included a mix of faith, drive, multi-tasking, networking, managing people, and selling both internally and externally. I also have the unique characteristic of loving both the management of processes and outside selling. All these traits have continued to benefit me in so many ways.Personally, I have bought, fixed up, and sold 400+ properties over the last 20 years, owned dozens of rentals, held many seller financed notes, and been involved (on the private money lending side) in over 2,000 real estate transactions. I have extensive experience in all things real estate: property analysis/acquisition, remodeling & repair, property liquidation, owner based financing, property rentals/management, short term real estate investment lending, and foreclosure divestiture. Currently as President & C.O.O. of a company I helped start, we have grown from 3 employees to 28 employees. We doubled the number of properties we managed every year for the first four years, and still are booking high double-digit growth every year since. We made the Inc Magazine Top 5000 Fastest Growing Private U.S. Companies List in 2018, 2019, and 2020. We also have been awarded the BBB's Pinnacle Award two years in a row, and won their Winner of Distinction Award every year we have been open. We also are the highest and most reviewed property management company in Houston with over 1,400 5-Star Google reviews! I am so proud of the Team we have built...I also am the Brand Ambassador for RWH, and provide education, training, and funny stories via our social media channels and the largest monthly real estate networking event we founded/co-host every 3rd Wednesday.Since I have been involved in Renters Warehouse Houston since Day 1, I have the unique background of having sat in every seat in our organization, whether it be leasing, property management, finance, or maintenance. This experience has allowed me to manage and improve every process and function in our company, and to be a better leader. After all this time I can still say I love growing businesses and I love real estate!
