• The completion of the new Emergency Department was behind schedule. Quickly identifying the route cause of the delay by analysing progress against plan, accurate estimates were presented to the Hospital Execs on.
• Emergency Department staffing had not been fully mapped due to lack of stakeholder engagement. Identifying that current staffing was insufficient to meet the needs of the new design and by listening to stakeholder.
• Engaging with stakeholders and Execs to resolve patient flow issues. An example involved mapping the time it would take to move a patient from Minors to Resuscitation. An implemented recommendation was that Minors.
• Programmed, co-ordinated and aided in all aspects of the move of the Emergency Department. Initially focussing on 12 hours, operationally restrictions reduced this to 6 hours with the actual move occurring in 1 hour.
