• Researcher within the Long Product Rolling department. Undertook a wide variety of investigations, technology reviews and plant trials. This took place within Long Product rolling mills in the UK and France.• Gained broader experience within Tata Steel with leading production trials ranging from coke screens and blast furnaces to downstream customers products including Network Rail.Achievements:• Specialised in metrology which enabled a greater variety of work to be undertaken by the team. Responsible for the suite of measurement equipment. This work stream included hardware and software including calibration and on the job training of technicians.• Effectively led projects for the research program at two manufacturing units. Managing these projects has allowed me to experience a secondment at a mill, increase my knowledge of the French language and develop a broader understanding of the steel manufacturing process.
