Plains of Yonder is the studio and creative consultancy of Directors Katrina Crawford and Mark Bashore. We create narrative and visual solutions that live in diverse forms including film, brand design, physical installations, interactive art, audio design and interior design. We have completed large scale digital/physical media installations, main title sequences, restaurant and lounge design and branding, commercial campaigns, brand films, interactive audio experiences, and documentary films. Led the creative output and studio culture for the company over a seven year period while remaining a hands-on creative director, writer, live action director, and editor. Led DK’s transition from motion graphics studio to global leader in storytelling innovation, leading ground breaking stories in the form of buildings, platforms, portals, pianos, devices and original products. Established and creatively led one of the most diverse, eclectic and effective creative culture's in the industry- across four offices in Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, and New York. Worked directly with global clients in the creation of interactive projects, documentary film projects, social media, national broadcast campaigns, brand identity, short films, interactive music videos, main title sequences, experience design and installation, original entertainment content, interactive publishing and original product development. Established and led DK's environments and experiential arm, including globally recognized projects for The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Experience and LAX Bradley International Terminal Experience. Established and led DK’s documentary film capability including BMW Unscripted Series, New Balance Made In America Campaign, True Blood Main Titles, Government of Atlantic Canada film and interactive initiative, LAX International City Portraits Digital Installations, among many others.
