• Founding executive of GNS, a PKI security firm providing security product development, consulting, and PKI managed services. • Managed the technical half of the company, all project implementations and consulting contracts, and was involved in all RFP responses.• Contracts included Ministry of Health ($10M Compaq/GNS bid for health record management), Industry Canada (both a web-based PKI security project and an XML security and key management project), and the RCMP (web-based security administration).• Managed development of STS (Canada-wide political support tracking system) which would proceed through approximately five generations over the next six years.

• Founding developer of Entrust (PKIs, digital signatures, encryption, and data security), initially responsible for the user interface for their PKI security server.• Designed and patented the architecture for secure remote administration of a PKI, which became the basis for 3 highly successful product lines (Entrust/Direct, Entrust/TruePass, Entrust/RA) used by over 1400 companies to administer millions of users.• As Integration Consultant, I was the prime technical resource for the Entrust Partner Program, providing ad-hoc presentations and consultations to recruit partners and resolving technical issues for 3rd party partners. • As OEM Technical Liaison, I ensured that business issues were attended to and resolved for OEM partners comprising 30% of Entrust’s $100M annual revenue. Received special commendation from the OEM partners.• As Product Manager for Entrust VPN, I researched requirements and prepared a high level architecture and integration guide, which was instrumental in closing major partnership deals and became the blueprint for integrating Entrust into networking partner products.• As Patents Manager, I exceeded the annual patents target by 600% by reviewing Entrust’s entire technology base, and working with developers to distill patentable concepts.• Restructured the Entrust installation process, earning a Security Product of the Year award.

• As a founding member of the Axiant team, I led the team to create the Axiant user interface and first line support for QA. • Kept the user interface team ahead of schedule and team morale high, despite the turbulence of 5 management changes and 3 total requirements revisions, through design of reusable code.

• As a founding member of the XIOS team, I researched and prototyped office automation capabilities, including coordinating various teams to produce the core Renaissance product.• Performed complete customer requirements analysis and product customization to satisfy an urgent, high-priority deadline, retaining a critical customer.• Worked on numerous system integration projects, including a 5-year network technology evaluation and planning project for the National Research Council.• Critical member of the LeDroit Newspaper Replacement Project, which was completed to spec, under budget, and ahead of schedule, earning commendations and bonuses from the client.• Coordinated all aspects of GUI design across multiple projects, ensuring cross-team and cross-functional consistency of their user interfaces.
