• Design a variety of fixtures for aerospace parts• Update tooling drawings

• Design production and prototype plastic injection molds and fixtures.• Covert 2D blueprint drawings to 3d solid models.• Reverse Engineer a variety of plastic injection parts.• Program CNC machines for cutting molds, electrodes and fixtures.• Build and repair plastic injection molds and fixtures using 3d data.• Setup and operate CNC machines.

• Design Trim and Form Tools for the Thermoforming Industry.• Update and maintain configuration control system.

• Create and develop a variety of CNC programs for building various types of plastic injection tools for the medical and automotive industry.• Setup and operate Fadal CNC Machines.• Develop mold designs and parting line splits for plastic injection molds. • Build and repair injection molds using Mold Making background.

• Create CAD drawings from sketches specifically for mold components and details.• Maintained CAD files for customer molds; update revisions as required.• Visit customer/suppliers to assure the proper transition from design to fabrication of mold.

During My Senior year at Emmett O'Brien Technical High School; The High School sent me here for a work study program where I was hired for my first job. Orbit Design & Tool signed me up for The State of Connecticut Apprenticeship Mold Making program. After High School I continued to work here full time in the summer and part time while going to college in the fall/winter to complete my Apprenticeship.My duties were• Fabricate and repair a variety of plastic injection molds utilizing blueprints, sketches and verbal direction.
