About Mark Bennett

In my current position, I assist customers in understanding the impacts of new avionics that will be installed in their fleets, and collect information from the customers to help Boeing understand airline needs and to plan for future capability. I often meet with and travel to customer sites and present at large meetings and conferences. In addition, I am also tasked with authoring a Flight Management System Pilot Guide, along with performing other project management duties in the Avionics group. I have worked as a Systems Integration Engineer for Boeing since 2013, and have over 20 years of aircraft repair and modification experience on aircraft ranging from Piper Cubs to 757s, and light helicopters. I am also an FAA licensed A&P mechanic, Commercial Pilot, and Flight Instructor, and have worked at FAA licensed repair stations and aircraft manufacturers. Over the years, I have been a Platform Chief Engineer, Program Manager, Proposal Manager, Customer Engineer, Project Engineer, Certification Engineer, Maintenance Manager, Quality Inspector, Engineering Team Lead, Flight Instructor, Commercial Pilot and Lead Mechanic. My future plans include completing a Master's Degree in Human Factors, and eventually, a PhD in Aviation, while building an outrageously impractical 1932 Ford hot rod with ultra-modern features.
