Better Therapeutics developed the first clinically-validated, FDA-authorized software to help people change lifestyle behaviors to improve type 2 diabetes. We invented and clinically tested a novel form of digital cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to be delivered by a physician-prescribed app. Our platform was authorized in 2023 as treatment of type 2 diabetes and granted FDA breakthrough status for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH, fka NASH) in 2024.As CMO, I oversaw clinical, quality, regulatory and medical affairs teams responsible for clinical product development, clinical algorithms and datascience, clinical trials, FDA interactions, clinical research publications and presentations, quality system oversight, patient support and health coaching, and clinical partnerships. Our team contributed to 5 patent families.

Launched lifestyle and obesity medical clinic within One Medical's san francisco clinics. Pioneered a billable shared medical visit model that incorporates health coaching and physician led didactics. This is now delivered nation-wide to help patients manage a diverse array of common medical conditions (anxiety/stress, weight management, type 2 diabetes, etc.).

Joined Board of Directors at critical juncture for ACLM. During our tenure ACLM began rapid year-over-year growth which continues to this day.
