In this current role, I manage multiple projects from inception to completion. Moreover, I perform engineering tasks, such as designing, preparing cost estimates, and tendering documentation including measurement of BoQ, adjudication of tenders, preparation of construction drawings, administration, and management of the project, including resolution of contractor claims and finalisation of payment certificates/project costs. Some of my noteworthy projects are as follows:• Directed project and aided in the design of an open storage facility for 260,000t manganese stockpiles, stacker & overhead conveyor systems, heavy vehicle roadway access over re-aligned railway, electrical substations and settling ponds for Bulk Connections (R80 million).• Project managed and aided in the design of twelve, 2650-ton agricultural grain, concrete silos constructed on 22m long precast concrete piles for South African Bulk Terminals (R37 million).• Spearheaded construction of 80-ton Rail Tippler Structure, with vault supported on 10m deep, below ground diaphragm walls for Bulk Connections worth R20M.• Successfully delivered road and rail platform over existing rail tippler pit, with improvements to private siding, new housing over existing intake facility and 80ton, 24m long road weighbridge for SABT.• Final measure for the linear and circular stockyards for Douglas Middleburg Optimisation Project - BHP Billiton (R80 million).• Directed project and aided in the design of an open storage facility for 200,000t manganese stockpiles, including road access over new stacker’s conveyor for Bulk Connections (R60 million).• Redesigned roof over fire damaged multi gained intake facility and construct a 800 tph, overhead inclined conveyor to ship loading structures R12M.• Constructed berths 606-608, Richards Bay Harbour (R180 million). Concrete pours at ± 300m 3/day, bulk earthworks, dredging, earth retaining walls, caisson sinking, costing, general survey, and site safety manager.
