Senior technician working to SLA supporting 3000+ users and machines. Working with deployment servers, VMware/vSpear, Windows XP, Windows 7, Server 2010, Active directory, data transfers and blade hardware support. My current role is a "think on your feet position" finding the correct fix in a set timescale. Working under pressure to meet SLA targets throughout 6 call ques on a daily basis.

Worked throughout the whole IT team at AgustaWestlands in Yeovil. Passed full security clearance to work on secure networks within the MOD sector. Worked in the migration team moving user from Novell to Outlook and updating computer systems using my skills in hardware. Building new machines ready to use as a ghost image and also using ghost to build bulk machines. Worked on the Service Desk taking first line calls and dealing with 2nd line issues between calls. Worked in the cabling team installing new outlets, re-patching cabs and setting up new office installs. Worked closely with Active Directory and exchange in a secure environment.

I was employed as the PC support engineer for this company responsible for the sourcing, installation and maintenance of office based hardware, software and the mobile units, along with the design and implementation of the e-commerce websites belonging to this company. I was also responsible for the creation of stock movement and customer database systems, their continual real time update and historical storage. Unfortunately, due to the economic downturn I was made redundant.

Responsible for customer support to Primary Schools throughout the South West with onsite support, troubleshooting server/client/network/Active Directory issues and resolving the problems with set deadlines. Creating user accounts within Active Directory and allowing individuals or groups certain administrator rights or access to parts of the network. Onsite repairs to hardware items such as computers, printers, scanners, digital cameras and whiteboards. I worked alongside my colleagues to help create an excellent environment for the teachers and children to learn. I was made redundant due to company restructure.

I would maintain the software aspect of a networked set of computers within a school. Responsible for updating Active Directory with new user accounts and password changes alongside allowing individual users administration rights. I was also on a rota for call outs and out of hour assistance. Looking after the databases and bringing records up to date. I worked to the schools specific guidelines on security and confidentiality. My short term contract/college course ended.Working in a sales environment I would be customer facing as well as a technician. I would advise customers on the most suited items to purchase for their computer needs. Striping and building PC’s from parts, installing and supporting software and advising customers was some of the duties I would complete on a day to day basis. I was moved to another job role as my employee was abusing his terms and conditions to my course.
