Currently employed at Kaiser Permanente. Associate Mental Health Clinician (AMFT/APCC, former Post Masters Fellow) Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) student at California Southern University. Began March 2024.Master of Arts Psychology degree, dual emphasis: PCC & MFT. Graduated June 2023.Formerly employed as a Program Therapist at Eating Recovery Center. Facilitating group therapy using therapeutic/treatment modalities; Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT). Employment of guided mindfulness interventions and educating patients in domains of living which include; life skills, motivation to change, relapse prevention. Collection of documentation and supporting patient's individualized meal plans in collaboration with registered dietician.Prior employment: 16 years of experience working in Special Education in various roles including mod/severe credentialed teacher. Training in Applied Behavior Analysis; discrete trial, functions of behavior, reinforcement systems, behavior shaping. Extensive work with various populations including; children with Autism, severely-handicapped, emotionally-disturbed, community school, alternative education. Collaborating with Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Behavior Specialists, Psychologists, and student's parents to create educational goals and support assessment. Recording daily progress of goals, classroom instruction design, creation of lesson plans, management of data and tracking services through technology information systems. Management of classroom staff; directing field of work, creation of staff schedules to support goal achievement, monitoring staff data collection.Personal interests include; spending time with my beautiful and hilarious daughter, reading books on philosophy, spirituality, and psychology. I also enjoy traveling, surfing, and producing/recording music.
