Chaplain
CurrentPlan, organize, and deliver pastoral care services in keeping with the provision of care standards and activities in the facility.Provide pastoral guidance, leadership, support, counseling, and education to residents, family members, and facility staff, including grief/loss counseling, and stress management.Plan and conducts all regular and special services of worship, (i.e. communion, memorial services, etc.). Involves residents in planning and implementation, when appropriate.Use clinical assessment skills to obtain and utilize information pertinent to residents’ spiritual and religious interests and to assure appropriate access to religious/spiritual resources in emergency and non-emergency situation.Work with staff and families to identify and assess religious concerns of resident. Develops and implements spiritual care plans as needed.
