I identify the skills and talent that people don’t realise they have. My greatest satisfaction comes from helping those people who want to fulfil their potential but don’t quite know how to do it. Nothing is better than working with someone so they achieve a future way beyond what they might have thought was even possible. Being a General Manager, is pretty much what you might expect. I’m the person that colleagues, suppliers and numerous others need to know but few want to be. If you want to get something done, you come to me and you know I’ll do whatever is needed to make it happen. Yes, it takes time and effort but seeing people develop whilst helping the business, and the people and companies we work with, be successful makes it all worthwhile.Luckily, I’m extremely organised and making everyone’s life better, easier and more rewarding is what gets me out of bed each morning. Even on those cold and crisp mornings that anyone who has ever lived in or visited the North East of England know about. So whilst I aim to help people who are committed to improving themselves and others, I do have some non-negotiables. These rules are the behaviours I expect in everyone:• Professional communication. This includes written, oral, visual and digital communication with colleagues & external stakeholders.• Punctuality. This simply means showing up or completing tasks when you say you will. When you are punctual, it shows that you care. For your colleagues, clients & business partners. It shows that you take your job seriously and the image & success of the business is important to you.• Unity. This means understanding that no individual is bigger than the team and we are all responsible for the smallest details. We are all in this together and when there is teamwork and collaboration, we will achieve great things. If you don’t currently display these behaviours or, at least, aren’t prepared to work towards them, I’d recommend not being connected to me as we won’t get on. Away from work I enjoy spending time with friends and loved ones. Whether that be on the golf course, at the match, in the pub or ideally, at a beach bar in Portugal overlooking the ocean with a cold glass of Super Bock (or Sagres) in my hand. So if you do display the behaviours I expect in others, have similar interests or want to discuss communications, please feel free to say hello.
