I have over 20 years experience in the operation of genomics service facilities, from early microarray platforms to more recent next generation sequencing and single cell analysis systems. My laboratory management experience encompasses establishment of these services, equipment installation, operating and troubleshooting to fostering relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers.I value the strong reputation for maintaining quality services and exceeding client expectations that I have built within University and medical research and environments. I am well connected to the genomics community, including facilities, clients, and suppliers, through active membership of the Australasian Genomics Technology Association (AGTA) of which I have been an executive member for over 15 years.Originally trained as a chemist, I still enjoy rolling up my sleeves and getting in the lab!Outside of work I enjoy being with my family down at Port Elliot where we can eat old style bakery food and go for long bike rides and walks along the coast!
