Mark Cady-Archilla, President of MCAStrategies, was born in Jacksonville, FL. In 1982 he joined the Navy and was stationed at the U.S. Naval Hospital, Okinawa, Japan. While on duty in Okinawa, he attended the University of Maryland where he studied English with minors in Philosophy and Psychology. Mark’s background is rich with culture, education, professional development, and more. In addition to his 16 years in the Navy, Mark is an ordained minister, founder of Out & Proud Veterans of America, and in 2011 established the first LGBTQ Veterans Memorial in Florida at the GLBCC Community Center located in Orlando. His commitment to others and work in the community has been recognized with two (2) special citations from the United States Congress and another from the Secretary of the Navy.In addition to education and professional experience, Mark has also participated in several professional organizations that include the City of Orlando Mayor’s Veterans Advisory Council, Metropolitan Business Association Orlando, Association of Fundraising Professionals, Come Out With Pride, RED Group Winter Park Networking Group, RED Group Downtown Networking Group, Orlando VA Medical Center, The GLBT Center of Orlando, Lakeside Behavioral Healthcare and Aspire Health Partners. Mark currently serves on the JOY Foundation (Joy Metropolitan Community Church) Steering Committee and on the Warrior Advisory Panel for the Chronic Warrior Collective.In his spare time, Mark enjoys travel and filmmaking.
