Mark is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Elyxor, a technology consulting firm that was established in 2010. With over 45 years of experience in IT, software development, and project management, Mark brings a wealth of technical and industry domain expertise to his work. At Elyxor, he focuses on driving the strategic growth of the business while also serving as a technology strategy consultant and enterprise architect for select clients.Mark began his career in 1978 as a software engineer at Information Builders in New York City. There, he worked on developing natural language processing product FOCUS as part of a small 10-person startup. Over time, Mark gained significant technical, managerial, and industry domain expertise in manufacturing, retail, and supply chain technology. He went on to work at several firms, including GD Searle, H.P. Hood, and CSC Consulting, where he was a Partner in the supply chain practice leading engagements for global retailers and manufacturers.In 1998, Mark co-founded and became the CTO of Celarix, an application service provider that offered supply chain management and execution tools. Celarix's advanced multi-tenant SOA architecture and high-performance rules engine were widely adopted by leading retailers and manufacturers to manage global manufacturing orders and shipments. The company was later acquired by GSX in 2003 (now OpenText). After Celarix, Mark spent several years advising startups in the Boston area and consulting with manufacturers and retailers. This led to his role as CIO/CTO as a founding member of Ruelala.com, which redefined the e-commerce model using event-based sales. Rue became one of the fastest-growing retail e-commerce companies and was acquired by GCI commerce just 18 months after its founding.Mark's expertise in technology, software development, and project management, coupled with his experience as an angel investor, make him a highly sought-after consultant and mentor for startups and established businesses alike.
