- Manage a 30-block, 1 1/12 mile long commercial district in Park Slope, Brooklyn.-Run a $500,000 non-profit with a board of 20 merchants, property owners and elected officials. Serve more than 500+ merchants, 400 landlords and 50,000 nearby residents.-Represent and advocate for the BID's merchants with city, state and federal elected officials and city agencies. Also serve on the Board of Directors of the NYC BID Association, advocating for small businesses on a citywide basis.-Provide cleaning and graffiti removal services, marketing and special events production to enhance business for the district's 500+ stores, bars and restaurants.-Created and now manage the BID's website, blog, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. -Manage contracts for outreach and PR consultants, as well as the sanitation crew.-Lead the BID through a Strategic Planning Process and a tax assessment increase to better position the organization through the coming years.-Plan and execute large promotional events like the The Fabulous Fifth Avenue Fair, A Taste of Fifth and Summer Strolls. Raised an additional $70,000 annually through sponsorships and ticket sales.-Manage grants, track BID statistics and directly manage all BID finances using Quickbooks.

-Created an online marketing plan to help the New York Waterfront Museum win a national grant competition. The funds were used to make capital improvements to the hull of their ship.-Acted as a lobbyist on behalf of Manhattan’s waterfront park organizations. Worked to secure more than $65 Million in Manhattan and Bronx waterfront funding in 2007.-Secured a 7% budget increase for the Landmarks Preservation Commission and assisted in the defeat of the Landmarks Commission in court on behalf of the Citizens Emergency Committee to Preserve Preservation.-Lead an effort to form a Business Improvement District along Park Slope's 7th Avenue between St. John's Place and 16th Streets on behalf of local business and civic groups.-Developed a website and online promotion strategy for the proposed Hudson River Park – Park Improvement District.

-Developed, opened and managed a unique eco-friendly home and lifestyle store in Park Slope, Brooklyn and Maplewood, New Jersey with wife/business partner.-Created, launched and maintained 3rliving.com, as well as the store’s blog (3r Blogging), gift registry and eBay store.-Lead all press, marketing, social media and strategic partnership efforts.-Chose and managed the inventory and budget.

-Managed NY4P, a $2.4 million non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to ensuring greener, cleaner and safer parks for all New Yorkers.-Directly managed the Development, Finance and Communications/Marketing staff. Reported directly to the Board of Directors on these matters.-Developed and successfully raised $300,000 for Parks 1, an advocacy campaign aimed at increasing the profile of park and open space issues in the 2005 local elections.-Lead the advocacy and research staff in lobbying on critical park and budget issues.

-Created and published a comprehensive inventory of waterfront access opportunities in New York City, known as the New York Waterfront Blueprint. Educated elected officials and the public on the need for improved waterfront access.-Took the lead in passing environmental laws in New York City, such as: Local Law 20 of 2002 (creating an annual waterfront inventory), Local Law 51 of 2003 (requiring the sale of “green” taxi medallions), Local Law 55 of 2003 (creating an Adopt-a-Park program) and Local Law 77 of 2003 (requiring the use of ultra low sulfur diesel by non-road vehicles).-Developed an online database of environmental legislation before the NewYork City Council and a scorecard to grade the Council’s progress in passing these key pieces of legislation.-Wrote grant proposals and raised financial support for NYLCV programs.-Crafted and executed NYLCV’s annual environmental policy agenda.
