Mark has 30 years’ experience in helping inspire and motivate the next generation. He has revolutionised the way businesses support young people and education, helping generate opportunities for disadvantaged young people while creating a more positive, skilled, and talented workforce.Mark’s work has resulted in well over £200m of investment in young people by UK companies and was named one of 2023’s Top 100 Influential People from a broad range of sectors who have made a positive impact on society. Mark received further recognition winning Leader of the Year at the Purpose Awards EMEA in June 2023. It was working with new recruits in the army that sparked Mark’s interest in the power of learning, skills development, and new opportunities to transform the lives of young people. Upon leaving the army he joined World Challenge, the youth expeditions organisation, becoming Managing Director. In that time, it went from 10 expeditions a year to 350 annually, making the trips available to a vast range of young people.Mark founded We Are Futures as the go-to partner for building advocacy for brands amongst young people, through social impact. Working with our Marketing, Early Talent & HR, and CSR clients we tackle the issues that matter the most to young people, which in turn drives their advocacy of brands.Our work benefits young people, as well as the parents, family members, teachers, communities, customers, and employees who support and influence outcomes for them. We have positively impacted the lives of over 40 million young people, and 150 businesses, and counting.Mark is a sought-after speaker and thought-leadership writer. He is the host of the popular Careers Unwrapped podcast. He regularly writes for titles such as MediaCat, HR News, Personnel Today, and New Digital Age, as well as being a guest on podcasts such as Honey I Blew Up the Business. Mark is also a trustee of the British Exploring Society.
