Accepted a new and challenging position in the Peripheral division of Medtronic. After the acquisition of Covidien, we inherited several new peripheral products that will be transferred to more suitable sites (cost savings, tax savings, consolidation, etc). As Program Director, I will oversee these transfers.

Responsible for strategic planning, tactical deployment of overall business objectives as well as all manufacturing departments, facilities, EHS and IT. Direct staff of 9, total department in excess of 45 salaried and 300+direct labor personnel. Report directly to Vice President, Global Operations. Achievements to date include:* Achieved savings of $130Million over 7 years in cost down initiatives of our high volume product line (over 3.5 million Guide Catheters per year)* Led the site during period where we achieved #1 worldwide market share for both Guide Catheters and Aspiration Catheters* Led the site through the implementation of the Medtronic version of the Toyota Production System in manufacturing, achieving dramatic improvements in productivity, quality and through-put

Responsible for the implementation of quality improvement practices and tools to achieve improved customer satisfaction, cost efficiencies, and associate satisfaction. Maintained ISO 9000 certification for 3 sites; introduced Business Process Re-engineering and metrics tools. Trained BPI Facilitator. Specific projects included reducing product development cycle time by 30% (through BPI process), and establishing Process Validation training for the entire engineering work force.

Program and project manager for high-level, inter-company transfers. Coordinate with US-based and International sites to insure product transfers occur with no quality or service interruptions.
