I knew early in life I was a people person and could sell so I pursued a career in the grocery industry after collage. I spent years growing the military segment of the Fleming Foods Company in several different positions. I achieved great success, creating new opportunities for our business to grow through innovative systems and relationships. The segment I was in charge of grew to over 300 million in volume and I was instrumental in developing systems to reduce costs and improve efficiencies. There was a project I was involved in nationally that completely revamped the way military commissaries ordered and received products. This system not only saved our customer millions in product holding cost it reduce the time it took to order and receive product and increased availability of inventory. This project also reduced the cost to deliver product to our customers by a large percentage.
