About Mark Owens

Growing up, I knew that I wanted to help people, regardless of what my career ended up being. The son of a pastor and youngest of four, I grew up with a loving family that taught me what it means to be respectful, to be kind, and to put the best interest of others before your own. I have taken these principles with me throughout all facets of life, both personal and professional.When I was on the path to becoming a Store Manager, I had the opportunity to lead the success of a Starbucks store and be solely responsible for the entire operation. During that time, I learned a lot about the significance of living my values in the workplace; to respect diverse cultures and backgrounds throughout the hiring process, to be kind and nurturing to my partners during their development, and to make sure that I would never have asked somebody to do something that I wasn't willing to do myself. By creating a workplace that people wanted to show up for, I was able to exceed goals pertaining to both sales and customer satisfaction.Now, I work alongside clients both in B2B and B2C to help itemize, process, and mitigate claims. By creating more efficient internal systems with customer satisfaction in mind, I have successfully closed out a year's worth of backlogged tickets while simultaneously developing excellent relationships with customers. These include representatives from multi-national corporations that deliver to stores all around the world.In my free time I am an avid hiker, book reader, NFL fanatic (go Giants), and drummer. All throughout my time in school I was involved with marching bands, both as a member and as an educator; this has led to some amazing opportunities, such as teaching at the Macy's Day Parade and drumming for the Atlanta Falcons!
