Professional consultant/project engineer educated to master’s degree level (Optoelectronic Systems) with 26 years’ experience in the design of telecommunication systems. Worked in the private and public sectors as a project engineer, a project manager, and a programme manager. Current position – Optical and Network Lead. with ADComms LtdPast employment - undertook consultancy work on behalf of the Welsh Government and produced an analysis on fibre capacity into the South Wales market. Produced multiple telecommunication designs on heavy and light rail within the Rail division. Within the highways division as the lead designer for the national roads telecommunication service (NRTS) consortium produced the design for the first all IP network to be implemented on the motorway system - M6 Junction 10A to 8 Managed Motorways project (now referred to Smart Motorways), following the M42 trial scheme.
