Mark took over responsibility for the SBA Division of NBH Bank, a community banking franchise with locations across Colorado, Eastern Kansas, Western Missouri, and Texas in December, 2015. During his tenure at NBH Bank, Mark has focused on process improvements as the foundation for achieving greater success in SBA lending. His impact has been measurable with a significant increase in SBA lending across it's three brands: Bank Midwest, Community Banks of Colorado, and Hillcrest Bank. In 2020, the bank was recognized by SBA's Colorado District Office as the job creation lender of the year. In 2021, the bank originated more than $100,000,000 in new SBA loans.Previously, Mark founded and managed Vectra Bank's SBA Lending Division in Colorado and New Mexico from 2005 to 2015. He is a recognized thought leader and sought-after speaker on the topics of Access to Capital, Exit Planning, Export Finance, and Real Estate Lending. Under his leadership, Vectra Bank consistently ranked among the top SBA Lenders in the state in both numbers of loans and dollars lent; and Vectra Bank was recognized as the Export Lender of the Year by the Colorado District Office of the SBA (2006). Mark was also recognized individually by the Colorado District Office of the SBA in 2011 as the Financial Services Champion of the Year - an award that can only be bestowed upon a lender once in recognition of his/her efforts supporting Small Businesses.Mark specializes in structuring SBA loan solutions to help growing businesses achieve their goals on projects of all sizes.
