Managed local and regional pavement preservation projects in NY, PA, CT, NJ, NH, VT, ME. Responsible for bidding and executing DOT contracts, in addition to local and county public works projects. Customers included homebuilders, general and masonry contractors, retail outlets, and homeowners. Responsibilities included production, sales, marketing, product development, capital expenditures, truck dispatching, MSHA compliance, personnel and budgeting. Increased production 23% by re-designing the quarry plan. Increased sales 35% through greater production, greater productivity in tons/man hour, scrap reduction and quality improvements. Led the company into profitability from annual loses of $250,000, even while spending $800,000 on capital expenditures. Decreased equipment maintenance costs 13% by instituting PM procedures. Recognized and implemented additional expense codes for accurate product costing. Awarded Sentinels of Safety award three consecutive years and Joseph A.
