Mark Dawson is the Executive Vice President of Service Trade Brands at Authority Brands which consists of One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, Mister Sparky Electric, DRYmedic Restoration and Screenmobile. Authority Brands is an umbrella organization encompassing fifteen leading home service franchisors. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, Authority Brands supports more than 1,700 franchise locations operated by more than 800 franchise owners in the United States, Canada, and Latin America. Authority Brands is dedicated to supporting franchise owners with their cornerstones: best-in-class training and operational support, marketing systems, and cutting-edge technology. Before joining Authority Brands, Mark worked as the CEO of bluefrog Plumbing + Drain®, a national plumbing franchise network, for three years. Having been in the franchising industry for over 30 years, Mark has extensive experience both as a franchise owner and as a C-Suite executive. He is also an investor and franchise owner in a few businesses in his areas of expertise. Mark got his start in the home services industry as a 12-year Franchise Owner at Glass Doctor, one of the largest chains of full-service glass franchises in the United States. From windows to windshields to storefronts, Glass Doctor also offers custom glass services, such as tub and shower enclosures, entry door glass and mirrors. He then served seven years as the company’s President.
