Artbyte Magazine: Executive Editor, 2000-2001. Worked closely with publisher to re-brand and reconceptualize 40,000-circulation digital arts quarterly; restructured and re-named editorial departments; hired new managing editor and new team of name-brand freelance writers, including Bruce Sterling, Gordon Grice, and Tom Vanderbilt; instituted freelance contract; standardized freelance payment practices; worked with editorial and advertising teams to strategically target new markets for Artbyte, re-branded and re-launched as a magazine of digital arts and culture.

Media Channel.org: Hired as senior editor, promoted to managing editor, 1999-2000. Conceptualized, launched, and ran a media-issues and media-activism news site that incorporated original content as well as content generated by affiliated sites. Wrote original content; edited freelance contributions; managed editorial staff; brainstormed buildout of new site features and functionalities, promotional strategies, and overall editorial direction of the site. Forged strategic relationships with affiliates.
