As a Compliance Analyst at NDAX, a leading Canadian cryptocurrency exchange, I apply my analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure compliance with regulatory and operational requirements. I monitor and investigate transactions, clients, and activities that pose potential money laundering or terrorist financing risks, using Excel and other tools to gather and analyze data. I also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide guidance and support on compliance matters, policies, and procedures.My interest and expertise in compliance and risk management stems from my previous roles at Scotiabank, where I held positions in AML Operations, Fraud Management, and Credit Solutions, as well as my current role as a Compliance Analyst at NDAX. I gained valuable experience in evaluating, detecting, and preventing fraud and financial crimes, as well as conducting KYC and EDD on higher-risk clients and transactions. Having achieved a B.A. in Political and Sociology from the University of Toronto, I am motivated by the challenge and opportunity to contribute to the security and innovation of the cryptocurrency industry.
