I excel in establishing and validating new welding processes, mentoring weld joint design, advising methods for applying advanced materials, and understanding process control. Gugel Engineering's mission is to bring this extensive welding knowledge of automotive welding, advanced materials, process control, process troubleshooting, and process validation to those who don't have the time or their own in-house experts to tackle these tasks. I am well versed in the implementation of new austenitic grades of steel, aluminum, composites, and mixed materials.

Responsibilities include managing the AWS Detroit Section, assigning and delegating responsibilities to the executive committee staff, and holding regular meetings to follow up on the status of staff assignments. As on of the largest and most involved AWS sections in the nation, the Detroit Section awards tens of thousands of dollars of welding related scholarships and grants each year.
