Portfolio includes diverse topics in social network analysis and detection, crowd-sourcing information, and motivation and intent.Outreach and “Science Watch” for entire networks portfolio (Physical Infrastructure, Social, Informational, and Autonomous Machine Networks): maintain contact with the basic research community and conveying DTRAs mission strategy to encourage collaboration and ensure the continual application of top talent. Coordinated with other agencies to find project continuation and collaboration.

Under Prof. Gene Stanley, developed analytical and computational models for complex networks, including demonstrating the previously unknown mapping between directed percolation and dynamically involving networks, and advancing various epidemic models under both quarantine and in interacting networks via graph analytics and agent based modeling.Begun research into varied methods of social network construction from online data. Performed web based data mining to generate unique data sets and validate theoretical models of social interactions. Analyzed predictive power of multiplex social networks to predict friendships from communications patterns via machine learning.Under Prof. Ophelia Tsui, performed experimental condensed matter research, primarily on spin coated thin polymer films. Developed expertise in atomic force microscopy, as well as rewrote the software used for analysis of the generated data.

Assisted in teaching courses in introductory and intermediate physics, both labratory and discussion sections. Interacted frequently with students both inside and outside of scheduled hours to assist with their education. Along with other Teaching Fellows, was responsible for developing supplementary material for instruction.
