I am a visionary technologist and innovator who builds and leads teams to solve complex problems. I am a retired US Air Force leader and strategist with a rich background in foreign affairs, technology, and innovation. I previously founded and led Rogue Squadron at the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), delivering advanced UAS/C-UAS capabilities to warfighters worldwide. In that role I developed Dowding, a cloud-based drone detection network fielded worldwide. I also helped architect the U.S. national strategy for restoring the U.S. drone industry. I previously founded and led Uplift Aeronautics, a nonprofit that aimed to use swarms of humanitarian drones to break sieges. I also served as a professor of technology and innovation at the Air Force's Air University. I hold a PhD from Stanford University.
