Responsible for ensuring all elements of a sponsorship from the ideation phase to going live on air are executed flawlessly with a goal of both customer and viewer satisfaction. Regularly dealing with external clients/agencies being a strong ambassador of the company. This position includes producing, directing, writing scripts and editing.

Increase RatingsPlan, oversee and take responsibility for all aspects of the content, ensuring high standards are met and exceeded.Manage, lead and coordinate a team of on-air Presenters, Switcher/Editors, News Writers and Graphic Artists, as well as work very closely with the Media Producer. Take an active role in dealing with personnel issues and conducting timely performance evaluations.During those times when a Media Producer is not scheduled, take an active role in directing the show from the control room; this includes coaching and directing on-air Presenters.Responsible for operating some equipment in the control room such as Borealis, VizRT etc.Work with the media producer to conduct regular air checks.Continuously monitor information sources (newspapers, internet, news wire and video feeds, etc.) and weather data to ensure the accurate, credible and timely presentation and production of news and weather content.Prepare pre-show information for on-air Presenters and attend weather briefings.Extra work during active weather may be required.Conduct daily pre and post show meetings with my team.Participate in Producer meetings.

Operating video switchers, C.C.U.’s, Routers, D.V.E.’s, Intercoms, and various other equipment for live and live-to-tape broadcast, in studio and mobile productions. Troubleshooting equipment. Scheduling and crew management. Performing live digital effects and transitions. Insertion of pre-recorded material, graphics and titles as advised by the Director. Providing instruction to less experienced members of the technical crew. Acting as Director when required.
