Built strategic direction with four partners to oversee and motivate the 65 doctors and staff of this multimillion-dollar chain of optometry clinics. Played an instrumental role in a major turnaround to address issues and a lack of effectiveness across multiple departments.Successfully stabilized the organizational performance via the introduction of new skills, processes, and tools and a series of projects that drastically improved the workplace environment and employee engagement, reducing turnover from 50% to 10%. As a result, eyeDOCS became an attractive acquisition target and was bought by a larger chain, as intended by the owners.

Led a national team of 3,600 RNs, lab technicians, and marketing and customer service specialists with 37 collective agreements responsible for recruitment, clinic operations, laboratory testing, manufacturing, and hospital service. Managed a $280M budget and $20M in project spend.Implemented significant changes related to both unionized and non-unionized workforce resourcing, revamped the organizational structure, and optimized use of valuable staff skillsets and workflows to reduce blood donation time by 25% and enable a reduction of 500 FTEs yielding over $10M in operating expenses annually. Administering a $175M budget, provided strategic guidance to the national team as it seamlessly grew from 500 to 2,500 employees. Directed a 17k-member volunteer program, a contact centre, and all activities of the marketing/recruitment, clinic operations, and fundraising departments. Ideated and orchestrated the establishment of a national recruitment program targeting employers. Defined communication and marketing plans to increase participation to over 4,000 companies accounting for 25% of donations. Program is still in use today.
