Some key activities in this area:• Undertake a study to identify options for changes to the configuration of the High Speed 1 traction power network which may result in significant energy savings• Lead a study looking into the anticipated impact of Electric Vehicles and Heat Pumps on the Distribution Network• On-going management of 60 Electric Vehicle charge points located throughout 12 London Underground car parks• Development of technical Fact Sheets to provide information on a range of technical subjects to non-technical team members In addition to this I have provided input on a number of tenders, such as:• Technical support on Network Rail’s National Electrification Programme framework (LNW-S and Southern regions)• Responsible for the £22m tender for installation of electric vehicle charge points within central LondonI was also heading up a set of new business initiatives which include the following sectors:- Distribution Networks and Connections (IDNO and ICP)- Energy Storage- Demand Side Management- Offshore Transmission Operator (OFTO)To progress the above initiatives, I developed an internal process that includes four different levels of review, with key decision points related to each output: Opportunity Review, Market Analysis, Feasibility Study and Business Plan.
