With further service in this role in 2016 to 2021.Key Tasks• Deputised for the team leader to support in the management of the team’s welfare, discipline, and training. • Managing and coordinating live firing ranges as a Range Conducting officer.• Skills at arms instructor, on the SA80, 9mm Glock, and Baton Gun.• Leading and managing a team, supporting with their personal development and education qualifications, using 1:1 coaching where required.• Implemented a committee that managed the day to day lives of personnel, such as their catering and social facilities, to ensure that they were consistently at a high standard.• Drill Instructor for ceremonial drill and parades.

Led and managed a team of 12 sailors, planning and implementing the ship’s force protection, advising the Commanding Officer on hostile threat mitigation measures.Key Tasks• Acting advisor to the commanding officer for the ship’s protection force, advising on what weapons to use and how to best utilise the equipment on board to protect the ship. • Organed and planned a protection plan for the ship carrying 200 personnel while entering and exiting foreign ports, working in conjunction with foreign port authorities. • Led and managed a team of 12 sailors and marines, conducting the force protection of the ship such as manning weapons through the oceanic choke points in the Middle East.• Training coordinator and instructor for close range weapon systems such as the MK44 Mini Gun, HMG and GPMG. Organising training both in port and at sea.• Line manged the team, supporting their welfare, day to day operations, and discipline.

Operation of the ship’s electronic security measures, and conducted armed sentry and mobile patrols in hostile environments such as the Middle East.Key Tasks• Operated radar and tracking equipment on British ware ships, to ID potential threats.• Provided security as an armed sentry, conducting mobile and static security as a deterrent in extreme environments such as the Middle East and Syria. • Conducted bag checks and searching of personnel to secure the ship.
