Spearheaded effort in the sale of company to Jazz Pharmaceuticals.• Reshaped the structure of Lederle’s Consumer Health Products Division and delivered substantial revenue increases from core brands Centrum®/Caltrate® and launch of Centrum Silver® (total current sales ~$1 billion).• Established Lederle’s dedicated and integrated vaccines/biologicals business unit which, at that time, was the largest vaccines business in the industry. • Expanded and further developed one of the industry’s first major outreach efforts to patient advocacy – Burroughs Wellcome and HIV/AIDS activists (following launch of AZT (Retrovir®), the industry’s first anti-HIV product).
