In 2012, I chose to redefine my life and walk away from commerce. I wanted to help others, specifically people whose lives have been torn apart by sex addiction. In 2004, my life was derailed by this addiction. I found myself confused, frightened and lonely. Deeply lost and seeing no good reason to carry on, I found it extremely hard to ask for help. And so began my journey of recovery from early trauma, sex addiction and the shame of child abuse 30 years before.Today, I'm an Addiction Recovery Coach, helping people find a way back from their emotional abyss and the brutal circle of addiction. I found the courage to take a risk with my heart and do things differently. I guide clients through a process of change, to shrug off years of conflicting behaviour that hurts themselves & others and to lead a life free of craving and addiction. My experience helps me expose the buried pain, anger, fear and shame which bring disruption to every aspect of daily existence. I help people explore their emotional self to find healthier exploits that better compliment their true nature. I help clients apply different techniques and emotional tools in a realistic and sustainable manner. I monitor progress and provide feedback, providing that mentor to whom clients can turn instead of that old unhealthy behaviour.I guide individuals and couples through the challenges presented in recovery from sex addiction and trauma. And I lead workshops for groups on all aspects of sex addiction, shame, vulnerability and the path back to emotional connection and the true inner self. I never shared any of the pain of abuse in my early life and all I found was a lonely emotional wilderness. Muddling through did not bring happiness. Truth, curiosity, intimacy with self and the courage to face ourselves; these are the emotional foundation cornerstones that bring the inner peace we all deserve.
