As a sergeant I managed a team of 7 soldiers, in charge of their safety and well being both personal and professional. Participated in many assignments, most at last minute with no notice requiring use of both time management and adapting to foreign situations. Held position of NCO of the Arms Room accounting for over one million dollars in sensitive items through journal system and daily inventories. Performed weekly, monthly, and yearly audits involving high-level management. Attended weekly unit level meetings to address status of Arms Room and all Sensitive Items. Assisted in organization and logistics of weapons training. While deployed in Baghdad, Iraq held position of team leader on a Quick Reaction Force team. Ensured all soldiers and vehicle were prepared for any type of mission with no warning. Adjusted mission to address real time deviations and unexpected occurrences. Performed multiple cordons and checkpoints for High Value Target searches. Conducted buildings searches, foot patrols, mounted patrols, and manned over watch positions. Developed routes for patrols and point A to point B missions in high traffic areas. Held position of Sergeant of the Guard in a combat zone. Performed rounds to ensure the safety of soldiers and equipment on the Forward Operating Base. Made routine checks on 7 towers and one over watch position responsible for base protection. Briefed oncoming guards on current threats and debriefed outgoing guards on significant events. Utilized multiple IR cameras to investigate threats reported from towers. Performed RAVEN Unmanned Ariel Vehicle missions to recon targets for QRF teams and to observe patrol areas during peak threat times. Completed significant actions reports after each mission for high-level management.
