Nothing beats putting your talents to work to make life better for others. That's the sweet spot where I focus.Today, I divide my time between consulting and Golin, where I led the ATL office and counseled corporate, association and government clients — including the National Peanut Board, Metro Atlanta Chamber, Flowers Foods and a host of city and state agencies. My top focus these days: encouraging parents and providers to make preventing peanut and other food allergies through early introduction the standard of care. So we create a next generation of children who will live without the burden that comes with worrying about every bite you put in your mouth.My gut feel for this profession is complemented with a master's degree in communications business -- and I am accredited in PR. My service to the field includes national and local positions with the Public Relations Society of America. A former president of the Georgia Chapter PRSA, I received the Shining Star and Luminary Star awards for my professional and community work, and induction into The Order of the Phoenix for career and community achievements. During my career, my teams have won four "Best of Show" honors. As an adept and passionate public speaker, I have presented to hundreds of companies and groups on topics ranging from real time marketing and making the business case for public relations to community involvement and launching a local 211 service.
