I am an entrepreneurial leader specializing in carbon strategy, corporate ESG, and sustainability consulting. I help clients achieve ambitious sustainability goals through strategic planning and innovative solutions. I develop sustainability and decarbonization strategies for both internal operations and customer-focused projects.With over three decades in energy and sustainability, I’ve worked across sectors in areas like electric utilities, energy efficiency, renewables, and carbon management. I’ve founded two successful consultancies, contributed to over 100 sustainable projects, and consulted with numerous Fortune 500 companies. The ESH was developed as part of a comprehensive business development strategy to influence the Arizona residential construction market to design and construct more sustainable homes. The effort was very successful. The ESH attracted 40,000 visitors and reached 10 million Americans through free media. The project spawned the creation of a book ("The Environment Comes Home"), a 6-part PBS TV series ("This New House"), and the “Green GoodCents” Program. The ESH was the first U.S. residential project to use Life Cycle Assessment to evaluate and compare building construction systems. The project won 26 environmental awards and was recognized by the AIA Committee on the Environment as a 1998 Earth Day Top Ten Best Example of Environmentally Responsible Design.
